From AI Assistance to Controlled Execution: the next phase of Legal AI is not about better answers. It is about AI beginning to execute legal work — under company standards, within defined boundaries, and with measurable quality. Legal AI is moving fast. Agents can carry out multi-step legal tasks, company knowledge is becoming executable, and Legal is increasingly expected to define how AI should act across the organisation. At the same time, the bar is rising: plausible outputs are no longer enough when AI starts participating in legal workflows. In this session, we examine four major shifts reshaping Legal AI in 2026–2027 — and show what they mean in practice through concrete legal use cases.
